Some other methods have been reported for the formation of C—C bonds by rearrangement. These include a hetero-Diels–Alder reaction directed by a (salen)cobalt(II) catalyst and a chiral diene,[395] and [2π+2π+4π]-cycloaddition reactions between norbornadienes and buta-1,3-dienes.[391,396,397]
