Mikami, K.; Matsumoto, Y.; Shiono, T.Science of Synthesis, (20032526.

Bis(isopropoxy)titanium(IV)propargyl complexes 146 and allenyl complexes 147 are prepared by reaction of 1-substituted or 1,3-disubstituted prop-1-ynes with tert-butyllithium and followed by reaction with [Ti(OiPr)4] (Scheme 73).[‌281‌] The reactions of 146 or 147 with aldehydes give α-allenyl alcohols or threo-β-acetylenic alcohols, respectively, in high regioselectivities.
