A titanium(IV) complexGrignard reagent system is also effective for the preparation of titanacycle complexes. The bis(indenyl)titanacyclopentane 184 (Ar1=η5-indenyl) has been synthesized by the reaction of dichlorobis(indenyl)titanium(IV) (183, Ar1=η5-indenyl) with Grignard reagents in the presence of ethene (Scheme 90).[‌311‌]
