The most consistently useful reagents for reducing nitroisoxazoles 127 to isoxazolamines 128 are tin(II) chloride in hydrochloric acid and aluminum amalgam in moist solvent (Scheme 75), although successful reductions with other reducing agents have been reported.[‌1‌]
