The conversion of O-alkyl thiocarbamates into the corresponding S-alkyl thiocarbamates, e.g. 315, is realized in good to excellent yields when the O-alkylthiocarbamate is treated with a catalytic amount of concentrated sulfuric acid in chloroform solution (Scheme 223) (see also Section 18.6.2.1.8.5).[325]
