General Introduction

Previously published information on imidic acid derivatives of this class can be found in HoubenWeyl, Vol.E 4, pp522608. The chemistry of members of this product class that contain a C=P bond (methylenephosphines) is reviewed in HoubenWeyl, Vol.E 1, p28, although most of the compounds relevant to this section were described after this review was published. There are several other reviews of the preparations and chemical properties of methylenephosphines.[‌1‌‌7‌]
