Palladium can catalyze oxidative insertion into a variety of electrophilic functional groups, including hypervalent iodine compounds and aryldiazonium salts. The coupling of 1H-benzotriazole and the diaryliodonium tetrafluoroborate 38 gives amides 39 (Scheme 16).[29]
