General Introduction

Allylic amines form an important class of compounds and its members are often synthesized both in the laboratory and in industry.[‌1‌] The allylamine fragment is also encountered in many natural products, and allylic amines themselves are commonly transformed into a wide range of other compounds including amino acids,[‌2‌‌5‌] alkaloids,[‌6‌,‌7‌] and carbohydrates,[‌8‌] often by reactions that involve the C=C bond.
