Aitken, R. A.; Aitken, K. M.Science of Synthesis, (201041169.

Poly(methylhydrosiloxane) (PMHS) and phenylsilane are used as the hydride source in the enantioselective reduction of β,β-disubstituted nitroalkenes (Scheme 237).[‌610‌] The reactions are carried out in the presence of copper(I) tert-butoxide and the chiral Josiphos {1-[2-(diphenylphosphino)ferrocenyl]ethyldicyclohexylphosphine} ligand.
