Aliphatic and aromatic isocyanates are prone to hydrofluorination on reaction with poly(hydrogen fluoride)–pyridine complex (Scheme 40). The reaction occurs under ambient conditions to give carbamoyl fluorides 45 in yields of 39–58%.[25]
