Functionalized allylic substrates such as but-3-enenitrile have been explored mainly in the field of asymmetric hydroformylation aiming at the chiral branched product.[‌36‌] Claver and co-workers investigated the regioselectivity of the hydroformylation of allyl ethers for standard phosphine ligand types.[‌48‌] Cycloocta-1,5-diene[3-(dimethylamino)propanethiolato]rhodium(I) dimer [{Rh[μ-S(CH2)3NMe2](cod)}2] and the phosphine ligand were used to generate the active catalyst in situ.
