DOI: 10.1055/sos-SD-218-00206

Li, D.-D.; Wang, G.-W.Science of Synthesis: Catalytic Transformations via C—H Activation, (20152391.

Over the past years, palladium(II) acetate has emerged as an effective catalyst in the direct functionalization of C—H bonds to construct new C—O bonds. Although significant advances in this field have been accomplished, many challenges remain. To date, most research has been focused on palladium and copper. In contrast, the use of other metals, such as ruthenium and rhodium, has rarely been reported for this transformation.
