The reaction of [Ti(Cp*)2(CO)2] with diphenylacetylene gives [Ti(Cp*)2(CO)(PhC≡CPh)] (245) (Scheme 119).[329–331] [TiCpCp*(CO)(HC≡CH)] has been synthesized from [TiCpCp*(CO)2].[325] The reaction of [Ti(Cp)2(CO)2] (102) with diphenylacetylene in the presence of trimethylphosphine gives [Ti(Cp)2(PhC≡CPh)(PMe3)] (179) (Scheme 119).[308,362]
