The Full Text page displays the content of a
Science of Synthesis contribution as it would appear in the print version. From here it is possible to read about the relevant reaction, its scope, and the wider context of the chemistry in question. Practical experimental procedures are provided "on the page" and links to the primary literature, older information, and backfiles are provided throughout.
Navigation within a result:
Relevant hits in the text/graphics are marked in yellow. Furthermore, the text is internally linked (compound numbers, scheme/table markers, references etc) for ease of navigation and to minimize the required amount of scrolling. Simply click on the linked item of interest and the relevant text or graphic will be centered on the screen.
Navigating between results:
The navigation sidebar allows the user to navigate between hits in the order they appear in the results hit list without referring to the results tab specifically.
Browsing around a result:
Browse icons:clicking on the forwards or backwards book icons allows the user to read the section of
Science of Synthesisas if browsing through the pages of the print version.
Breadcrumb trail:details of the location of the section within the overall hierarchy of the series are displayed at the top of each entry and can be expanded to enable browsing of related material.
Explore contents tab:the user may search the series, its backfiles, and related products as if using a table of contents. Each title allows access to the relevant full text or, where appropriate, the pdf of the full published contribution.

Cross links:fully linked literature references and internal cross links to older material, both within the series and the
Houben--Weylarchive, are provided at the bottom of each contribution.
Literature portal:clicking on a reference link opens the crossover window which allows access to the original publication if the user has the appropriate subscription.
Printing and citation management:
Printing and reference management options are contained under the appropriate icons positioned at the top right of each result. These options can be expanded by placing the cursor over the relevant icon.
Print options:the full text as viewed or the full published chapter can be printed.
Citation options:the full text can be cited in various formats (RIS, Refworks, BibTex, or plain text).
